Its been a little warmer lately, right around 45-50's which seems like summer since its been so cold lately. I hate to complain about the weather, but maybe once we have a garage it wont be so bad. I just dont really enjoy scraping the car off or starting the car early every morning and sometimes I forget and then I'm running late. Anyways...
Only a few weeks until spring break, my last spring break ever, but I wont be doing anything too fun or outside the ordinary. Jake forgot to request off work, so he'll be working while I'm off for the most part, but we'll still get to see each other in the evening.
Not too much going on here-the internship is going well, nothings really changed much. And, Jakes still at Sam's doing what he does best! I know this is a poor update, so I'll just end your misery!

Where's the Jelly?
Last night I was up late doing last minute homework because I procrastinated throughout the entire weekend and didnt get to bed until 1-1:30ish. This is really, really late for me now-a-days since I usually go to bed around 9:30-10. I woke up at my usual time and had to make my lunch which I decided to make my favorite PB&J-its quick, easy, and I love peanut butter so it works. After I was finished I put everything up and headed off to school/work, whatever you want to call it...probably school since I pay them to go! Jake and I had planned to workout when he got off work, but we needed to go right away because he was going to open gym to play basketball at 8. So, he wanted a PB& honey sandwich and a glass of milk ready when he got home-Ok fine, thats easy. Since he was having a PB sandwich I kinda wanted one too, eventhough I had one for lunch and yesterday for lunch too. I was trying to find the jelly-which is normally in the refrigerator and I couldnt find it. It took me 10 minutes to realize where I had placed that darn jelly. I knew it wasnt empty because we just bought it, but I looked in the trash anyway just to humor myself. I ended up finding it in the pantry-right beside the peanut butter jar! On top of the jar clearly states "refrigerate after opening". That ruins my plans for any future PB&J's until the we hit up the grocery store this weekend. And to think I used to make fun and laugh at my mom when she used to do things like that when I was litte. Boy is it coming back to bite me now!

Happy Valentines Day!
Today I slept in, worked out, and watch an episode on the octuplets-which I wont even get in to. So far, so good and I'm waiting on Jake to get off work at 4:00 to decide what we are doing this evening. We both decided previously that we werent going to exchange gifts or go to dinner. Our budgets running a little tight just the way your pants fit after eating Thanksgiving dinner, and we dont want our buttons to pop off! I havent been to the mall or Target in a while-so I might see if we can go "window" shopping, althought that could have a negative affect too...We'll probably just stick to things at home. We havent had as much time together this semester since I've been driving 2 hours each day and then having homework to do either throughout the weeknights or on the weekends, but absence makes the heart grow fonder :)
A week or two ago we got free texting! I know this sounds so funny reading and blogging about, but its a big deal. Here's why...most people have texting, so they assume you have texting and they text you all the time which....costs you 10 cents each way and makes your bill more expensive and that doesn't make your husband very happy. But, up until a month ago I couldn't stop people from texting me and then I found out how to block the texting from coming in and the madness stopped. With all that behind us text us all you want-its FREE!
Jakes basketball team is undefeated, but have only played 2 or 3 games. He says and I quote, "We dominate the other teams". Apparently they have 6 college athletes on their team including 3 college bball players and 3 college football players (which doesn't really make them good at basketball, but most likely they are athletic and competitive) so it makes sense why they would be undefeated at a church basketball league! It gives him that competitiveness he needs to survive outside of college sports-so I promote him playing in those kind of leagues.
Next week I'm heading to St. V Womens Health on 86th street to work with a pediatric dietitian. She works closely with neonates who are on TPN and tube feeding. Thats a whole new turn from acute care, but its interesting and exciting to learn something new. Less than 5 months left!
Happy Valentines Day! or Single Awareness Day as someone once said to me!

Feeling like a kid again!
Wednesday we had a ton of snow-I didnt make it to work that day instead I just worked on stuff from home, it was kind of nice except our computer always knows when I'm using it and decides to run a little slow. Unfortunately a new one is not in the near future. Anyways, that night Jake and I headed over to Ginny & Dustins for a Mexican themed dinner with enchiladas as the entree. She did an awesome job-they were soo good! After dinner we got all suited up in our snow gear and headed out to play in the snow with their 5 year old son, Braden. He had a fort built already so we used that and a few snowballs in our attempt to get Lacy and Dustin (neighbors) out of their house. It worked, but baby Jillian was getting a bath and they were too busy to come outside. Mike, another neighbor from down the street, has a golf cart that he rides around on all year round, including in the snow. The best part about this golf cart was it could pull you on a sled. I took a 20 minute joy ride through Saddlebrook and it made me feel like a kid again. That night brought back memories of sleding when I was younger and building igloos out of this block former my mom bought for us. I love the snow-as long as I dont have to drive it in and as long as a nice hot cocoa is waiting for me inside. Its too bad it has to be freezing to have snow-I mean 70 degree temps with snow would be awesome!
Tonight, we are headed to a Superbowl party where we wish the Cardinals good luck, but only because we dont really want the Steelers to win! Jake is already sporting his red polo-which I thought was hilarious that he even thought about wearing the colors of the team he wants to win. Guys, sometimes you can figure them out, sometimes you cant!
