Our sweet baby girl is growing up so fast-6 months old already! Her 6 month visit is coming up on September 26th where we will know her weight, length & receive a few more shots. We weighed her on Labor day and she was around 16 pounds. She has been thinning out-growing longer, but not putting on much weight. She used to wear at least a size ahead now shes in the 3-6 or 6 month range, not really wearing any 9 month clothes yet. 3 months ago she was already wearing 6 month clothes, however, now we are in the 6-12 month range in a bunch of her clothes so who really knows whats going on, but she seems long & any stranger that asks how old she is is always shocked that she is only 6 months old.
We are getting pictures taken by one of our friend's in October. I'm excited to see how they turn out, but for now Mom's camera shots are all we've got!
Here's a few pictures to share what's happening now:
| Makes all kinds of faces now |
| First try at rice cereal-loves the spoon, attention and different food, but most of it came out instead of going down. Working on starting vegetables this coming week. We have everything to make our own baby food, but we have some jarred to start off with that was given to us from both grandmas. P.S. cereal poop smells horrible-I gagged & about had it changing that diaper! |
| Working on standing on everything, but has mastered the army crawl to reach those out of reach toys, Jersey, or anything else she wants. She has been getting up on knees & elbows, but hasn't figured out where to go from there. She's still a bit wobbly when she sits, but is almost sitting up on her own. She sucks on her toes & it grosses me out when random people touch them and then the next thing I know they are in her mouth! |

| First pony tail for church this morning |
| Such a big girl! |
| In this picture she looks a lot like me when I was 5 months old. |
| First technical vacation to the Wisconsin Dells after a couple night stay with Papaw Stans & Nana Karen |
| 2 Teeth! The first popped up on Labor Day while visiting Ellen, Ryan, & Baby Austin. Needless to say that ride home was less than desirable. Things are getting better now that they are both through the gums. |
| Loves her dad. Casual first word "Da-da". I knew Mama was out of reach so 3 weeks ago I started coaching her on Dada after she had the da, ga, ba sounds all down. One day she strung da & da together. She doesn't know the meaning yet, but Jake felt pretty special when she said it to him. |
| Still Mommy's girl & has started reaching for me as I walk by her. |

What a big girl! It just breaks my heart that she is already 6 months and it seems like we NEVER get to see you guys! :( Thank goodness for blogs, otherwise I'd really feel out of the loop!
